Cult Ceramics Story

I became fascinated with the statuesque form and piercingly delicious vinegar that flowed from a pair of red and white vinegar crocks that I encountered in a classic French farmhouse kitchen in a chilly winter back in 2013.

As the vinegar emulsified with my French dressing, my imagination immediately wondered how they could be re-invented for the modern kitchen. Simply pour your leftover wine into the crocks and you continue the fermentation cycle. One meal’s leftover glass is another meal’s dressing. 

In this moment, a love affair with fermentation was born. And an ambition to bring these iconic vessels to the UK was incubated.
